![]() ![]() Drumming is really great here aside from that it’s just a simple fun song.Īnother controversial opinion hates this song. Despite a good riff it’s mostly muffled in the song through the wave of sound. I don’t like its piercing vocals and its song structure is so plain. And a wonderful rolling drum throughout the song.įeels like filler. Top tier Serj vocals, Love the Guitar riffs that bounce right off the melodic section. Amazing message about powerful governments and loss of rights. ![]() Fun sporadic riffs and nice complimentary bass.Great well rounded song. Love how weird this one is yet so catchy love serj’s wide vocals on this track, amazing Daron vocal bit as well. The thing keeping this song worth it is its great message about the prison system and phenomenal drumming. I feel it has no flow, the lyrics could definitely be smoothed out with how they can barely finish lines. And dark meaningful theme of the Armenian genocide. And great complimenting riffs from Daron. Very groovy kind of song back too loving the lyrics. Probably my least favorite from the album still love it though. Just not a fan of the screeching egments at all otherwise great riffs and solid drum beat from John. And the lyrics what the hell are the lyrics I’m not even trying to find the meaning for this one Such a quirky energetic sound all I want is that riff too keep flowing into like the million diverse segments of the song. And guitar is amazingly bouncy and just the spaced out strums are again for the millionth time very fun.it even has that kind of Armenian style for the solo love it. I love the vocals and deliver a very cool sound for no reason I can think of. Great bass from shavo is a real standout of his on this heavy song. Cool ambient riffs building to the deep screaming and rolling drum sections. One of the most unique System songs for the length, doubling most songs off the album. ![]() Still love it, it's got a good message of war and the long haunting speech from serj is great with the ambience in the background. It's fun sounding but just nothing shouts out as memorable for me in this song. Also shout out too the guitar solo for just being extraordinarily fun.Ī good song but I never really got why it’s rated so highly off this album. Also the clear effort from Serj on the vocals on this song is clear with such a meaningful theme. Like the drumming is way too catchy for the theme but still extremely enjoyable. Really fun instrumentation for such a dark theme of suicide from awful circumstances. A bit more variety in the song and increased length would have made this song better. Although a very simple instrumentation the vocals and their range are perfection and make this song everythingĪ fun song that goes from heavy to squeaky on the fly a lot with deep heavy riffs and fast paced vocals. Such foreboding opening instrumentation to back the vocals leading into the echoing shout. Systems first and certainly one of their best slow songs. Then the mid point of the song comes and we get a big fake out from slowing down to just lunacy of Serj’s tiny sounding voice after a heavy bit of guitar was just so unique and I don’t really know any better explanations for why I love this song With nice supporting drumming and simple but flowing melody. From the catchy opening to the deep screams I get Hooked. ![]() I know how controversial this is but I still think it's great just not for me.įavorite from the Album for sure. Serj just kind of screeches this song and doesn't really use his voice to the best of his ability and with simple drumming and unique but repetitive riffs Sugar has just never been a go too. But I just don’t enjoy the main melody that much. This one I’m very conflicted on, This song is Iconic and extremely fun and unique and jazzy. One of the main songs that come to mind with this Album. But Serj's piercing vocals really work well with the speed of the song and reflect well off the deep main riff. Immaculate drumming from John on display in this song, just outstanding work. Plus y’know I just love conversations even if we don’t agree so feel free to give feedback.Ī simple banging album opener which really Illustrates the Vocals of the Album from Serj well with the quirky main vocals, the deep screams and the slow dark climax. The unique Riffs and great Base also are standouts Yo what’s up SOAD fans so I got really bored and just felt like doing a complete Discography review of System so hopefully enjoy and y’know accept my possibly controversial opinions. ![]()

She uses special small hammers and a series of letter stamps to strike each letter into the silver while using a metal level to keep the names as straight as possible. Jacques disassembles the cup from the top down, and then clamps the band being engraved in a homemade circular jig. Jacques (creator of the replica of the Presentation Cup), who took over from the second and third official engravers, Doug Boffey and his father Eric, at their shop Boffey Silversmiths in Montreal in 1989. The first was the 1948 Stanley Cup designer Carl Poul Petersen, a Danish engraver who moved to Montreal in 1929 and worked with his sons Arno, Ole, and John Paule in his engraving shop until his death in 1977. In its 96-year history, there have been only four official engravers sanctioned by the NHL. The NHL has official engravers put each name on the cup. No championship team names from the 1928-29 to the 1964-65 season are currently on the cup. A blank replacement band is then put in its place to be filled with the names of the next champions. When the rings become full, the oldest band is removed and preserved in Lord Stanley’s Vault at the Great Esso Hall in the Hockey Hall of Fame. Since 1958, five bands of championship names are engraved around the base of the cup. Thanks to its cylindrical shape, it was nicknamed the Stovepipe Cup-but by 1948, the trophy had become too tall to hold or put on display, so the shape was changed to the tiered version used today. Between 19, a new, more streamlined and vertical incarnation of the cup was used. More and more teams wanted to be immortalized, so the decision was made to put a separate single ring below the original cup that each new winning roster could be etched on it. The only other team names engraved on the inner bowl are the 1914-15 Vancouver Millionaires. The first team to have its roster engraved was the 1906-07 Montreal Wanderers, whose names were etched within the inner bowl of the Dominion Hockey Challenge Cup. Instead, after each championship, the names of the players, coaches, management, and staff of the winning team are added to the cup. Unlike other major league sports trophies, a new cup isn’t made every year. Jacques and is used as a stand-in at the Hall of Fame when the Presentation Cup isn’t available. The final cup is a replica of the Presentation Cup, which was created in 1993 by Montreal silversmith Louise St. (Skeptics can authenticate the Presentation Cup by noting the Hockey Hall of Fame seal on the bottom.) In 1963, NHL president Clarence Campbell believed that the original cup had become too brittle to give to championship teams, so the Presentation Cup was created and is the well-known trophy awarded today. Stanley’s original cup from 1892, known as the Dominion Hockey Challenge Cup (above), was awarded until 1970, and is now on display in the Vault Room at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.
